The Role of 1-methylcyclopropylene (1-MCP) and Salicylic Acid (SA) in Induced Resistance of Postharvest Fruits

Postharvest diseases cause huge postharvest losses of horticultural fresh produce. Cooling and synthetic fungicide are used as traditional preservation technology. Recently, induced resistance has been thought to be an optional perhaps alternative 1-methylcyclopropylene (1-MCP) salicylic acid (SA) two more common chemical agents mostly a preservative for harvested fruit in order achieve better quality taste. Many reports have also proven that 1-MCP SA could induce resistance. The purpose this review is summarize the role resistance, including effect on well its involved mechanism; effects firmness, phenolic metabolism, membrane lipid reactive oxygen species after harvest; disease resistance-related defense enzymes, proteins, signaling synthesis, pathways combined mechanism. Meanwhile, we prospect future direction increasing by depth.
